Karla Sofía Gascón joins the show to talk about her experience starring in Jacques Audiard’s bold, genre-defying film, Emilia Pérez. Gascón plays the title character – a menacing cartel leader who fakes her own death to live authentically as her true self.  Gascón shares her initial reaction to the script and the intense preparation that followed, describes the lengthy process that she and Audiard went through to find the right version of each character, and explains why playing Emilia was more challenging than playing Manitas.
