Sixers Fix with Scott Ninnis - Episode 2 #NBL22
It's the eve of the NBL season with the Adelaide 36ers taking on the Perth Wildcats and what better way to get ready than a Sixers Fix with Scott Ninnis episode co-hosted by Daniel Johnson himself. The 36ers are in Perth this week gearing up to open the NBL season for 2021/22 against the Wildcats and live from his old hometown, six-time Adelaide 36ers MVP Daniel Johnson joins regular co-hosts Chris Pike and Scott Ninnis. There's plenty for us to talk about beginning with the NBL Blitz where the 36ers won the Loggins-Bruton Cup with new captain Mitch McCarron named MVP and claiming the Ray Borner Medal. DJ talks about the Blitz in Tasmania, how the 36ers are coming together under new coach CJ Bruton and why he is so excited to be playing alongside new teammates Mitch McCarron, Dusty Hannahs, Todd Withers and plenty more. DJ also talks about how he is feeling coming into this season as he adds to his 359-game NBL career, why he's nowhere near ready to think the end is near, what continues to drive him and how proud he is of what he's done in Adelaide. DJ also opens up about life in Adelaide and why it's likely to be his long-term home beyond basketball and also about his thoughts on life beyond his playing career. We also have a good look at the two Round 1 match ups for the Adelaide 36ers in Perth against the Wildcats and at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday against the Illawarra Hawks. It's all made possible thanks to the support of Australian Motors Mitsubishi (www.australianmotors.com.au), Sports Card World (www.sportscardworld.com.au), AllStar Photos (www.allstarphotos.com.au) and Premium Wine Tours (www.premiumwinetours.com.au).
