Yoga for busy people? Well, yes. I am delighted to bring you, for the first time ever, the shortest version of the classical Sivananda Yoga Class. Times have changed – the original version was 90 minutes. It was another era altogether. We had some time for ourselves. When we started the Gurgaon Sivananda centres way back in 2004, I realized people needed a shorter version – people were in a rush, and could not spend 90 minutes in a class, without compromising their other responsibilities. So we designed and presented the 60 minutes class. In the last decade, the times have changed even more dramatically. What has not changed however, over these many, many years of my own practice, and my teaching students, is the love and enjoyment of and the commitment to doing the Sivananda class. Therefore, without hampering the content, or the flow, or the basic underlying intention of providing a beautiful, soothing, relaxing, yet physically and mentally strong yoga class, we recently recorded the 30 minutes version. This is the next step in the evolution of yoga in modern times. We at the Sivananda Yoga Centre, Gurgaon, all hope you like it. Do practice and let us know. With much love and yoga wishes, Arun Pandala Acharya and Director Sivananda Yoga Centre, Gurgaon
