#2 | Silent Hill 2 Review

Konami published the original Silent Hill 2 in 2001, and Team Silent cemented their names as the developers of one of the greatest psychological horror games of all time; or so I had heard. I never played the original, and so when I heard that Bloober Team was working on a remake, let's just say I was tentatively excited.

If Bloober Team doesn’t sound familiar, they’re best known for their work on the Layers of Fear franchise and The Medium; all of which were received with middling reviews. I’ve not played either, but the general consensus was that Bloober Team might not have been the best team to trust with remaking Silent Hill 2.

However, I’m happy to report that Silent Hill 2 is a fantastic game and I’d like to parse through it today and dive deep into the story, characters, and gameplay.

This episode will contain spoilers, so proceed with caution if you’re worried about that sort of thing.
