Single Moms In Recovery | Mental Health, Narcissistic Abuse, Stability, Isolation, Spiritual Healing

Life as a single mom in recovery isn’t easy—but you don’t have to walk it alone. Do you feel invisible sometimes, like no one really sees the real you? Are you exhausted from holding it all together for everyone else while your own heart feels heavy and worn? Have you ever questioned if God could still use you, or if peace and joy are even possible after all you’ve been through? You’re not alone, mama. I see your struggle, your courage, and your longing for something more. I know the pain of loss, the weight of shame, and the loneliness of walking a path that feels impossible. And I also know the relief that comes when someone finally reminds you—it’s okay to be hurting, it’s okay to ask for help, and your story isn’t over yet. I’m Richelle Braybrook, a wife and a mom—though my journey looks a little different. My children were adopted, and while we live apart, they remain my “why.” I’ve walked through mental health struggles, addiction, deep loss, and moments where I questioned my worth and purpose. But God met me in the middle of my pain and showed me I wasn’t a victim—I was a victor. And He can do the same for you. Single Moms In Recovery is for women like you: single moms who are tired of just surviving, who long to feel understood, and who want to rebuild their lives with hope and strength. Each episode, we’ll talk about real struggles—mental health, addiction, forgiveness, identity, and faith—while offering practical tools, encouragement, and ways to find stability through a relationship with Jesus. If you’re ready to stop surviving and start healing—if you’re ready to trade your pain for peace and your shame for strength—welcome. This is your safe space. 📩 Connect with me anytime at richellebraybrook@gmail.com. I want to hear your story, pray with you, and remind you that you are loved, chosen, and never forgotten.

01 | My Story and How God Led Me to Start the Single Moms in Recovery Podcast
Hi friend! Have you ever smiled through the pain — pretending you’re okay when you’re falling apart inside?Do you ever wonder if God could still love you after everything you’ve been through?Have you lost so much that you’re not sure who you are anymore… or if there’s still hope for you? In this powerful and deeply personal first episode, I open up about my journey — from addiction and mental illness to losing my children and hitting rock bottom.I share the real and raw truth of what it felt like to live behind a mask, to numb my pain with alcohol, and to spend years in and out of psych wards — searching for peace I couldn’t find. But this isn’t a story about staying broken. It’s about redemption. It’s about how God met me right in the middle of my darkest moments — when I thought He had given up on me — and began to rebuild me piece by piece. This episode is the heartbeat behind Single Moms in Recovery. It’s not polished, it’s not perfect… but it’s real. And it’s a reminder that no matter how far gone you feel, God can still use your story for something beautiful.
