02- Prophet Musa and the Four Types of Rocks (Hearts)- Simply the Best: Life Lessons From The Lives Of The Prophets- Shaykh Sadullah Khan
In this second episode, Shaykh Sadullah Khan reflects on the Qur'anic narrative of Prophet Musa and the Children of Israel when they were commanded to sacrifice a cow. Their unwillingness to follow God's command manifested in their obsessive and obstinate nature of asking unnecessary and technical questions related to the type of sacrificial cow. God described them and their condition as people with no intellect and impenetrable hearts. In connection with this story, Shaykh Sadullah draws lessons and examples from the Prophetic biography in relation to the various types of hearts that Allah speaks about in the Qur'an. He reminds us of the importance of performing sincere righteous actions when we are able, and not to become technical and difficult because life is to short and precious to waste on being obstinate and ignorant.
