The Significant Life Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, dedicated to the empowerment of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities into the full expression of their God-given purpose. We address the three cardinal concerns of adults and families living with these challenges: work, live, play. We champion interdependent residential living, meaningful work opportunities and integrated, vibrant social connections that create significant friendship connections.

Today, on Significant Life, we're talking about one of the greatest cultural evils of our time: Human Trafficking. Marcus and Jen are joined by Tracy Daugherty, the executive director of The Freedom Challenge. Tracy has more than 30 years of experience in pastoral ministry and church planting with her husband, Dan. Working for The Freedom Challenge combines the two biggest passions God has placed on her heart: to affirm the dignity of women and to expand the biblical worldview of the church.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in theology and is an experienced Bible teacher and speaker based in San Diego County, California. Tracy traded in her high heels for hiking boots because she was drawn to the cause of championing women. Now, after hiking and flying countless miles around the world with The Freedom Challenge, she’s witnessed the power of women as environment changers, as culture-setters, and as forces of good in the world. Seeing the impact that she and her fellow Freedom Sisters have made has only further fueled her commitment to leading The Freedom Challenge to its goal: setting 1 million women and children on the path to freedom by 2030.
