This is a safe space for my thoughts—Black, unfiltered, unapologetic. A Black Canadian voice from Ottawa (Red Black) shaped by the Red, the Black, and the Green and the Red Blue (Rouge et Bleu). I don’t know exactly where this podcast is headed, but that’s the point. Like me, this podcast is a work in progress. It grows, shifts, and evolves as I do. Maybe it becomes a community, maybe it stays just me and this one mic. Either way, I’m here, and I’ve got something to say—so Shut Up!

293: But, It's the Other Way
In today’s episode, I talk about my mood on the last show, finishing Sammy Davis Jr.’s autobiography, something I forgot to mention about interracial relationships, that feeling of hating people who are doing well, white folks still trying to play down slavery, and Marlo Stanfield’s classic line from The Wire: "You want it one way." Quotes Isolate as much as you want to become stronger, even if you see that loneliness is an unbearable hell, it is much better than the multiple masks of humans. Signs you’re healing People treat you exactly how they feel about you Randomness I wasn’t in a good mood on the last episode I finished "Yes I Can" Something I forgot to say on the last episode  Hating people who are doing well Was there ever a time when white people didn’t try to play down slavery or its effect? Featured Thought You want it to be one way Other Links Why JFK Refused to Let Sammy Davis Jr. Perform at White House "We do not have a history of killing white people, white people  have a history of killing us" Taking offense on behalf of the Klan
