Bhagwad Geeta - Chapter 1 - Verse 1 - What Is Dharma Yuddha? And Suitability of Pandav As Rulers

What is Dharma Yuddha? Does Geeta support violence by Krishna's encouragement of Arjun for war? Why sometimes destruction is necessary for creation? Who should engage in war and what should be the purpose of war? Why did Ram give away the kingdom of Lanka to Vibhishan after killing Ravan? Was the way of Gandhi really nonviolent? Why did Gandhi choose the method of 'nonviolent non-co-operation' over any other violent means for freedom fighting? Why did Krishna choose Pandav as the best suitable rulers and based on what criteria?

In this episode ( fourth part of the first verse of the first chapter of Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta ), I am going to answer the above questions in relation to the discussion of the word 'Yuyustva' ( Desire for War ). Besides we will talk about the description of the corrupt rulers engaging in the wars given by Parshuram in one of the best Hindi poem 'Rashmirathi' by Ramdharisinh 'Dinkar'.
