Societal gender roles believe that women are biologically more nurturing than men, instead of socialized to become the nurtures. This belief has reinforced the traditional view of the feminine role as nurturing and caring as opposed to tough, logical. It seems pretty sexist to suggest that women should provide this special attention. Not only are women expected to nurture children, but we are also conditioned to nurture grown men in society.
