On episode six of She Dreams in Color™ we talk to Candace Stamper, Stylist and Co-Owner of Bohemian Stylehouse. Candace discusses her Obstacle of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (c-PTSD or #CPTSD ) developed from childhood and young adult abuse. As an entrepreneur, Candace said she and her business partner Mary wanted their business to be a safe place for both employees and clients where they could provide the love, support, and energy Candace said she hadn't received growing up. Candace shares how she found a therapist, underwent EMDR Therapy https://www.emdr.com/what-is-emdr/ and even participated in a public art show where she vulnerably spoke the story of her trauma for the first time to others. In her Occupation, Candace works to be an ally for stylists and others in the industry which she explains is a "luxury industry" and not a service one. She discusses the missing pieces in the beauty industry's education and her goal to bring more respect to the career path that she started when she was just a teenager.
