Sometimes, the line of work you’re in, isn’t something you choose; it chooses you. For Shantel, this is her story! Six years ago when she was a military mom and wife, she became the “go-to” person for women that were pregnant. Through her selfless support of other military moms, she later officially became a doula and the rest is history. After a traumatic experience with a client, Tellie decided that she wanted to be more than just support throughout birth, but also provide the high quality, nurturing care that women need during such a sensitive process. Now, as a retired veteran, doula, student midwife, and single mommy of two, Shantel is juggling MANY hats; and doing so gracefully! Take a moment to listen to Shantel’s story.
