Katie studied Marketing and Managing Social Impact at Boston College and started VIV in her senior year to pursue her dream of building a mission-driven social impact brand and I believe that she is doing a great job of spreading awareness and championing sustainability. There are some pretty shocking statistics about the amount of plastic in period care products and the toxic ingredients that are in mainstream period care products. Katie breaks it all down for us and has implemented ingredient transparency in her own brand. Viv products are made from plastic-free, toxin-free, and sustainable bamboo fibers. By using a more sustainable crop of bamboo, Viv saves a lot of water, land and CO2 emissions. Not to mention that bamboo is a naturally hypo-allergenic material, naturally more absorbent and way more comfortable!
