Ep. 34 - Why did Erika Kirk forgive Charlie's murderer?

Victor attended the Charlie Kirk Memorial on Sunday. It was powerful, especially when Erika Kirk uttered six words, "That young man -- I forgive him."

But many aren't interested in forgiveness. Victor looks at the arguments against forgiveness, before showing their flaws. He then makes the case for forgiveness, including the story of another woman who forgave in the hardest of circumstances.

Parental pause point questions:

1. Did you watch any of Charlie's memorial? If so, what did you think? (2:27)

2. What is the toughest thing you've ever had to forgive? (5:09)

3. Why is it hard to forgive someone? (6:35)

4. What would you say to someone who said forgiveness isn't possible? (13:08)

5. Is there someone you need to forgive? (29:11)

The Great 8 questions:

1. What happens next?

2. Has this been tried before?

3. Is there a principle involved?

4. What are the trade-offs?

5. What do you mean by that?

6. Is this an appeal to emotion or logic?

7. Am I focused on the speaker or the argument?

8. What does the Bible say?
