Before the sun ever rose, light filled the universe. The Torah says, “Let there be light,” yet the sun, moon, and stars weren’t created until days later. What kind of light came first—and where did it go? The sages called it the Or HaGanuz, the Hidden Light, too holy for a fallen world.
