“To remake? Or not to remake?" With all the sequels cluttering up the modern cinema and television scene, how many of them actually hold up to the original? With regard to remaking film and TV, we wonder: What is it all for? Is it really worth it? Are these remake-happy, sequelphile producers and directors going too far? Has originality, in fact, got in the way of the proverbial dodo himself? And most of all, we ask of our favorite films; “Shall we compare thee?” Jade and Paul here, asking you to join us our deep-dive journey into the world of our favorite filmmakers, actors, screenwriters and cinematic geniuses. We will explore our cfavorite film and television gems and compare them to their modernized, re-imagined and serialized counterparts. We'll then decide which one gets to live on and which one gets the kiss off, baby! We intend to boldly go where no Podcaster has gone before. So allow us to light the way on a perilous trip down remake lane and many sequel rabbit holes. We'll find out if Dorothy was right all along; Is there truly no place like home?
