As Elon recently explained at the unveiling of Grok 3.0, the word Grok was coined by Robert Heinlein in his book A Stranger in a Strange Land. Grok means to profoundly understand a concept beyond mere recitation of facts, it is to absorb the context of the idea’s existence, to embody it so physical and emotional sensations are connected to the deeper meaning of that concept.These are all things that humans perform quite well. There is irony to naimg an AI Syste Grok, essentially a human trait.
