Our guest on the show today is Sheree Schonian, who is an author and advocate for domestic violence against women. After experiencing her own DV relationship and fleeing with two kids, Sheree has gone on to educate, empower and inspire other women to leave abusive relationships. In Australia, currently one woman dies every week at the hands of a current or former partner, making violence against women one of the largest epidemics our country has ever seen. Following the Bondi stabbing attacks on April 13th, which was predominantly women focused, I wanted to get Sheree on the show, and ask her questions regarding her lived experience, and the question why women just don’t leave.
