Sahar Assaf (she/her) is a Lebanese theatre-maker and currently the Executive Artistic Director of Golden Thread Productions in San Francisco. At the American University of Beirut, she co-founded with her long-term collaborator playwright Robert Myers, the Theater Initiative, an interdisciplinary group of faculty and artists working to facilitate theatre creation and research locally, regionally, and internationally.

The Segal Center Film Festival on Theatre and Performance (FTP) is an annual event showcasing films drawn from the world of theatre and performance. The festival presents experimental, emerging, and established theatre artists and filmmakers from around the world to audiences and industry professionals.
