Anderson novel of the same name, about a pair of teens who live under a vaguely benevolent alien occupation that's drained the planet of its jobs and resources. For the Watchlist, Sarah and Kevin talk about another story that has to do with finding love in a hopeless economy: Charlie Chaplin's 1936 film Modern Times.
