In response to the SNAP benefits lapse in Seattle, local restaurants and community members are rallying together to combat hunger. During Seattle Restaurant Week, 17 restaurants are participating in the Give a Meal program, allowing diners to donate directly to Good Food Kitchens. Mojito, one of the participating restaurants, is leading the way by preparing over 1,000 meals weekly for the University District Food Bank. Other restaurants like Zylberschtein's Deli are making it easy for customers to donate by rounding up their bills. With this collective effort, the community is providing hope and real support to those in need.
