45. How Adventure and Nature Improve Your Life, with Sean Allt

You’re in the right spot as today, I chat with Sean Allt, a fitness trainer and a coach who supports people of all walks of life to prepare and conquer the adventure of a lifetime.

We kick of the conversation by talking about the role life milestones play in people’s decision to finally take action on the adventure they have been putting off for years. Spoiler Alert: you don’t have to wait for your 50th birthday or a big life marker to do it!

Sean talks about how helpful it can be to have annual or quarterly goals when it comes to adventure and we chat about the connection between adventure and one’s values. We get inspired by the adventures such as bike trip on Anapurna circuit in Nepal, climbing mountains in Taiwan or sand dunes in the Gobi Desert.

We chat about the benefits of intentionally spending time in nature and how are values determine how far we want to take this – be it a walk in a local park, or an adventure of a lifetime. Sean shares some exciting research about being around nature and its benefits, which beautifully underlines the positive experience most of us have when in or around nature.
