Can you have it all? Blessing-Allen Adebayo, an International Development Leader, says yes! Listen to how this busy mom, leader and climate advocate found work-life balance (and stopped crying in the bathroom!).

We start the conversation in the moment a few months after Blessings' twins were born: Blessing crying in the bathroom of her office. This was the moment when she realized that she needs to do something differently to find time for herself, her twins and her husband, while focusing on work and her projects.

We chat about how she started redefining what success means for her in that moment of her life and dive deeper why having our own definition of achievement and success is essential. We talk about the logistics of fitting all the things into our real 24-hour long days.

We delve into the importance of setting goals, managing your time and prioritizing certain things for the time being. Blessing shares her decision to pause with her PhD for the time being when her twins were small, while being able to ask for help. We talk about that nothing lasts forever and that the time we have (or don’t have) also changes.

All of us having feet in different countries, we talk about the extra complexity of living in a different country, or even on different continent. Blessing shares her thoughts on living in Nigeria and UK, wrapping up our conversation by the importance of creating the space for taking care of our planet in our daily lives.
