WHY THE LOW RATE OF COVID-19 FATALITIES IN AFRICA? | ADAKU EFURIBE

At the early stage of the COVID-19 outbreak, its declaration as a global pandemic and seeing how devastating the virus was for the first world (with world-class medical infrastructures), Experts, Commentators, NGOs and reputable individuals wept ahead for Africa and predicted that bodies were going to litter streets. According to the Telegraph, "The coronavirus pandemic could kill up to 190,000 people in Africa over the next 12 months and “smoulder” in ‘“transmission hotspots” for years, the World Health Organization has warned" (Will Brown wrote on 8 May 2020). More so, there are still conspiracy theories on the truth about the virus, its origin, vaccine as a depopulation strategy, etc.

In view of these, I interviewed Adaku Efuribe - A Pharmacists, Health and wellbeing Consultant and UN SDG Action Campaign partner; who has shared opinions on the covid-19 situation across several media platforms.
