LOW RATE OF COVID-19 FATALITY CASES IN AFRICA | ERIC CHINAEKE

At the early stage of the COVID-19 outbreak, its declaration as a global pandemic and seeing how devastating the virus was for the first world (with world-class medical infrastructures), Experts, Commentators, NGOs and reputable individuals wept ahead for Africa and predicted that bodies were going to litter streets. According to the Telegraph, "The coronavirus pandemic could kill up to 190,000 people in Africa over the next 12 months and “smoulder” in ‘“transmission hotspots” for years, the World Health Organization has warned" (Will Brown wrote on 8 May 2020)

More so, there are still conspiracy theories on the truth about the virus, its origin, vaccine as a depopulation strategy, etc.

In view of these, this episode is an interview with Dr Eric Chinaeke - a medical Pharmacologist and practitioner with CSL Behring. A biopharmaceutical company based in Pennsylvania, USA and manufactures plasma derived recombinant therapeutic products in the rare disease space. Eric shed light on the phenomena and as much as possible clear doubts with convincing examples that could support the prevention and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Africa and other parts of the world.
