When Your Lungs Need Help (COVID Special)

Since COVID has impacted the world, we are talking again about the pandemic-specific work and science done locally in Austin.

Lung Therapeutics (LungTX) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing a proprietary pipeline of therapeutics for lung conditions that would otherwise require invasive surgery to treat. In addition to the fibrosis disease that their drug treats, the sustained lung damage that COVID-19 causes some people could benefit from Lung TX's therapies. They hope to conduct clinical trials to test this in the future. In addition to the CEO, Brian Windsor's glimpse into the timeline, process and cost of developing a drug, hear how this former restaurant owner with a soft spot for community colleges ended up running Lung Therapeutics.

Guest: Brian Windsor

Host: Dan Dillard
