
Born in 1964 in Heerlen, David Jongen studied Public Administration at the University of Twente. His career began in public service, including as City Manager of The Hague (2000–2006) and Board Member of the UWV (Dutch Employee Insurance Agency).
In 2011, he became Chairman of the Board of Atrium Medical Center Parkstad in Heerlen.
