Bitcoin is a multipurpose technology that solve many of the world problems. One of the defining aspects of the technology is that it is decentralised with no one person, entity or group in charge - it is owned by the people who participate. At its core it is the first advancement in ledger technology (accounting) in 700 years - it records clear, honest, immutable, incorruptible, and open source information that self audits every 10 minutes. This is especially important in the corrupt, fraudulent, centralised financial system we currently use.  Bitcoin in turn, is the escape hatch for 8 Billion people on the planet.
