In the podcast we interviewed Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director for SAP Labs in India. SAP is helping India surmount major business and humanitarian challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic. With nearly 9,000 employees across five cities, Labs India is SAP’s second largest development center and central to the company’s product development strategy. Despite a very dynamic environment, the forced virtual teamwork as a result of the coronavirus pandemic has not hampered productivity. The India-based teams, together with other global teams, just released the second version of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud essentials edition to customers. “We stuck to the timeline as well as to the scope that was promised to our customers,” reports Sindhu Gangadharan, SVP & Managing Director for SAP Labs India. Sindhu believes that the pandemic will expedite the move to digitalization in India, and notes that SAP’s Intelligent Enterprise Strategy is resonating strongly with customers. The same trend towards digitalization and cloud computing has been confirmed in other markets, including China and Europe.
