This week in our God’s Promises series, Pastor Jon teaches on the promise that when we confess our sins, God will forgive us. Every human being is born into sin. The Bible says we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin isn’t just breaking a rule — it’s missing the mark and breaking God’s law, which reflects His character. When we break His law, we offend Him personally. But God offers undeserved mercy. As 1 John 1:9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” All sin is serious, but God promises complete forgiveness and freedom through Jesus when we confess.Speaker: Jon Thompson Publication Date: August 10, 2025
