In the ninth year after Hijrah, an Arab leader who once resisted Islam discovered the truth he had long rejected. His name was Adiyy ibn Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) — the son of the legendary Hatim al-Tai, known for generosity and honor.
Adiyy lived as a king, taking a quarter of his people’s wealth, leading with pride and tribal power. But when he finally met Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he saw something the world had forgotten — a leader who walked humbly, served the weak, and ruled with justice.
The Prophet ﷺ told Adiyy of a time when safety, justice, and abundance would return to the Ummah — and Adiyy lived to see those promises fulfilled.
Today, as the Muslim world struggles with division, corruption, and despair, Adiyy’s story reminds us: the revival begins when leaders and nations submit to the justice and simplicity of Islam — when we return from power to principle, from pride to purpose, and from fear to faith.
