Mishti, a cheerful book lover, is at her beloved café after finishing exams, enjoying her coffee and reading. On the other hand, Sameer, a writer, is struggling with his next book's character and storyline, feeling stuck and unable to write. He wonders if his lack of a romantic relationship is causing this block. When Sameer notices Mishti reading a book by SS Bhattacharya, he's curious about her interest in the author. Mishti passionately praises Bhattacharya's romantic writing style. Their conversation kicks off with Mishti unknowingly praising her favorite author. Before leaving, Sameer tells Mishti that she's his next book's character and hands her an unreleased book with his signature.
