Les Misérables: Vol. 1 – Fantine

I probably should’ve published this episode back in the spring of 1862, but computers didn’t exist and neither did myself or Mickey – who is my guest for the very first edition of the @russrev1ews book club. Mickey and I have been reading books together for over a decade, and I’ve always wished we had a recorded document of our discussions so I could better remember the things we’ve read. This was actually a big reason why I wanted to start the podcast in the first place – so you could say, this is the pod in it’s truest essence – and I’m guessing no one will listen. But on the off chance you’re a fan of the novel or French literature or maybe just the musical, we are very excited to be reviewing the first volume of Victor Hugo’s classic novel, Les Misérables, which is entitled Fantine.
