A Note from Roxy:
I wrote this story based on a girlfriend I had my freshman year in college. She was pretty and smart and we shared a lot of interests. Dating her really was wonderful. Except for one thing. She was incredibly competitive, and while I can appreciate the competitive spirit, she was toxic about it in many ways, including with me. Thankfully, I was self-aware enough to break up with her before things got bad.
But it made me think about friendly competition. And, me being me, I had to just use my imagination and write about it. And, me being me, I just had to make it about sex. So that’s what this week’s story is about—friendly competition.
As I asked Annie B to narrate it and told her the above story, she demanded that I voice the friend part. In her words, “It’s totally meant to be your voice!” So here you have a story written by me, voiced by Annie B and… myself. Helping us with their own wonderful voice work are Austin and Ethan.
