Roundtable - Meridian Australis
Meridian Australis
11 episodes

Roundtable is dedicated to exploring classic novels from Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and other genres of speculative fiction, through an authorial lens. We aren't going to spend an hour giving a novel a rating out of 10, or complaining about our unfulfilled ships... probably. Our rotating cast of up-and-coming authors analyse and evaluate stories to identify what makes them tick, why we love them, and what other storytellers can learn from their successes and failures.

Roundtable is an extension of Meridian Australis, a Melbourne-based speculative fiction collective home to authors from all works of life, hoping to put Australia's best and brightest on the map. We're made and run by writers, for writers.

Hosted by Harvey Weir. Edited by Andrew Nathan Roberts. Original music by Andrew Nathan Roberts.

In this very special episode of Roundtable, Harvey is joined by Arden Baker to interview Australian cyberpunk aficionado, T. R. Napper. Tim Napper is an acclaimed speculative fiction author known for his deeply immersive and thought-provoking science fiction. His writing is infused with a rich understanding of human complexity and global perspectives. We talked to him about his Aurealis-winning novel 36 Streets, his newly-released passion project The Escher Man, and the ins and outs of the industry.
