Lab In Every Lesson

As a science teacher passionate about teaching science as a practice, not just a collection of facts, Lab in Every Lesson was created to help teachers and parents provide students with rich learning experiences that empower them with skills they can use in everyday life—skills to think critically, make informed decisions, and solve real-world problems. But even the most strategic and thoughtfully designed lessons won’t get the job done alone! Science lessons are like the trunk of a tree — the means through which we plan and differentiate instruction to serve every student. Yet, that trunk is also connected to a system of deep, entangled roots that allow it to stand tall and strong. On this podcast, ”Deep Roots=> Flowers + Fruit”, we’ll plant seeds of reflection and strengthen our shared roots of SERVICE, STUDENTS, and SCIENCE. Together, we’ll grow the fruit of lasting learning. Let’s get started!”

Teaching with Tenacity Pressing On When Plans Don’t Work
📖 “For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29   Have you ever poured your heart into a lesson only to watch it flop? Maybe you’ve tried something new in your teaching, and it didn’t go the way you imagined. It’s tempting in those moments to go back to “the old way” — but what if God is calling you to keep pressing forward instead? In this episode, we’ll reflect on Romans 11:29 and the reminder that God doesn’t take back His calling. As teachers, that means we don’t give up when things don’t work the first time. We adapt, we try again, and in doing so we model perseverance and resilience for our students.
