Roots L.E.A.D. to Results
Lab In Every Lesson
62 episodes
As a science teacher passionate about teaching science as a practice, not just a collection of facts, Lab in Every Lesson was created to help teachers and parents provide students with rich learning experiences that empower them with skills they can use in everyday life—skills to think critically, make informed decisions, and solve real-world problems. But even the most strategic and thoughtfully designed lessons won’t get the job done alone! Science lessons are like the trunk of a tree — the means through which we plan and differentiate instruction to serve every student. Yet, that trunk is also connected to a system of deep, entangled roots that allow it to stand tall and strong. On this podcast, ”Deep Roots=> Flowers + Fruit”, we’ll plant seeds of reflection and strengthen our shared roots of SERVICE, STUDENTS, and SCIENCE. Together, we’ll grow the fruit of lasting learning. Let’s get started!”

Rhythms Last Longer Than Resolutions
📖 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” — Proverbs 21:5   Teachers are great at setting big goals in September. We dream about staying organized, keeping up with grading, and balancing it all. But by mid-October, those resolutions often fizzle out. In this episode, we’ll talk about why routines matter more than resolutions — and how sustainable rhythms can steady us when the year gets heavy. In this episode, we’ll talk about why routines matter more than resolutions — and how steady rhythms can keep us rooted through the ups and downs of the school year. I’ll share a simple three-part framework I’m using this year to stay focused, balanced, and faithful — in the classroom and in life. When we trade quick bursts for steady rhythms, we build trust with our students, preserve our own energy, and stay rooted for the long haul.
