Roots and Rhymes Podcast hosted by Chunz. Members of the brit-asian community have grown up and successfully diversified into areas of popular culture such as mainstream Music, Fashion and Lifestyle but one thing these individuals have in common is their roots and their love for music. Growing up listening to cultural punjabi bhangra music, many of these people also listened to urban music such as hip-hop and felt welcomed by this modern urban culture. This podcast will be taking a deep dive by speaking to guests about the influences of punjabi and urban music and how it contributed and shaped their lives today. It was a pleasure to speak with Manj Musik, pioneer within the industry and we talk about his childhood, RDB and the Gully scene in India.
