Agendas, Kingdoms, & Missing Jesus

Most people have heard the phrase: "Missing the Forest for the Trees." It means we can become so focused on what we want that we can miss the bigger picture of what's going on. Students can get so focused on memorizing facts that they miss out on learning the subject, or managers can be so concerned about their status with the company that they miss out on leading their team. What about following Jesus? Can followers of Jesus believe in Him and misunderstand him at the same time? In this week’s message, we look at a passage in Luke and discover how we can miss seeing Jesus when we put our own agendas and realities on Him. Luke invites us to surrender to Jesus’ kingdom in order to experience Him in our lives.
