With decades of experience as an arts administrator, curator, and educator Christopher Barake is the Deputy Director for the Doral Contemporary Art Museum - DORCAM. He is co-founder of Art Industry Movement and was curator at KER Art + Design Gallery and ConcreteSpace.
Barake is also an academic administrator for the Department of Art + Art History at Florida International University. He began his career at FIU in 2007 where his previous duties include coordinating an artist-in-residency program and community-based collaboratory art projects.
He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Curatorial Practice, along with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Sculpture, and Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from Florida International University.
