Die Waffenrüstung Gottes

Epheser 6 erinnert uns daran, dass wir nicht gegen Fleisch und Blut kämpfen, sondern gegen geistliche Mächte der Finsternis. Deshalb hat Gott uns Seine vollständige Waffenrüstung gegeben – eine göttliche Ausrüstung, um standzuhalten und im Sieg zu leben.

1. Stärke in Christus
Unsere Kraft kommt nicht aus uns selbst, sondern aus unserer Einheit mit Christus (Eph 6,10). Ohne Ihn wären wir schwach und überwältigt – doch in Ihm können wir allem widerstehen.

2. Zwei Arten von Waffenrüstung

• Defensiv: Helm des Heils, Brustpanzer der Gerechtigkeit, Gürtel der Wahrheit, Schuhe des Evangeliums, Schild des Glaubens.

• Offensiv: Das Schwert des Geistes – das Wort Gottes.

3. Die Bedeutung jeder Rüstung

• Gürtel der Wahrheit – Hingabe an Gottes Wort und Wille.

• Brustpanzer der Gerechtigkeit – Schutz des Herzens durch Gehorsam und Reinheit.

• Schuhe des Evangeliums – Festigkeit, Bereitschaft und Kühnheit, das Evangelium zu verkünden.

• Schild des Glaubens – löscht die feurigen Pfeile des Feindes (Gedanken, Versuchungen, Angriffe).

• Helm des Heils – Bewusstsein der Erlösung, Schutz des Denkens.

• Schwert des Geistes – das gesprochene Wort Gottes, unsere Waffe im Kampf.

4. Gebet als Lebensstil
Epheser 6,18 – Betet allezeit im Geist, seid wachsam und beständig in der Fürbitte. Die Waffenrüstung ist nicht vollständig ohne Gebet.

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6 reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness. For this reason, God has given us His full armor – divine equipment to stand firm and walk in victory.

1. Strength in Christ
Our strength comes from our union with Christ (Eph 6:10). On our own, we would fail – but in Him, we overcome.

2. Two kinds of armor

• Defensive: Helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shoes of the gospel, shield of faith.

• Offensive: The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

3. Meaning of each piece

• Belt of Truth – submitting to God’s Word and will.

• Breastplate of Righteousness – protection through obedience and holiness.

• Shoes of the Gospel – readiness to proclaim the message of peace.

• Shield of Faith – extinguishes fiery darts of temptation, fear, and lies.

• Helmet of Salvation – guards the mind with assurance of salvation.

• Sword of the Spirit – God’s spoken Word, our weapon in battle.

4. Prayer as a lifestyle
Ephesians 6:18 – Pray in the Spirit at all times. Prayer keeps the armor active and empowers us to stand in every season.
