Episode 58 : The Backpack Project With Maaya Peshin

On this episode, Vivian Patruno, Host of the CYC Podcast, talks with Maaya Peshing, who accomplished two #RisingYouth Projects and created The Backpack project, which delivered much needed food to low income families who struggled during COVID-19 due to the fact that they no longer had access to the help of the schools to make ends meet. Her second #RisingYouth grant was used to fund a youth connection project that was based around reconnecting indigenous youth with their culture, through workshops including medicine walk, bannock making workshop, rattle and drum making seminar, button blanket workshop and more!

This episode of the #RisingYouth Podcast was developed in partnership with the CYC Podcast. For more information on #RisingYouth Community Service Grants of up to $1,500 available to youth 15-30, visit https://www.risingyouth.ca
