At first I was working on a dark breaks and electro set for Haunted Mansion, but then I saw our line up—Fort Knox Five, Mancub, and I were b2b2b in the 200 Channels room of the party. And of course there was only one thing to do... I did a quick pivot from the dark side to the funky side! I started making this mix series 11 years ago to celebrate my birthday and DJ anniversary. After a short break, I am pleased to bring the tradition back to life with Twenty-Two, celebrating my 50th birthday and 22 years of DJing. In the past, I had set a lot of rules for myself for programming these studio mixes but I let that all go and just chose what moved me. I hope it moves you too! I found the album cover quite fitting, since it was taken at my 40th at the first ShOOnanigans 10 years ago!
I am excited to celebrate my 50th at Public Works SF on Sat 7/19! We have one of my favorite producers, Aylen, headlining along with special guests and my long-time friends Dulce Vita (Opulent Temple), Haute Mess (Brass Tax), and Nugz (Dusty Rhino). Space Cowboys DJs 8ball, Deckard, gLover, Kapt'n Kirk, Leyl Master Black, Rumblemunk, and your truly, will be shaking up the club on both floors and Maculate and Vizual Nektar will be on visuals!
