Ep15: Communication in Marriage - What Happens When One Partner Travels for Work

Does it ever feel like your business (or your partner's) is pulling your relationship apart at the seams? It's a tough balancing act, especially when long hours and travel are involved.

Richard has just come back from two weeks away in the US, which prompted a conversation about how he and Lee have managed to keep their partnership strong over 14 years of business, travel, and raising a family. They've seen other couples come undone under the pressure. So, what makes them different?

They get into the very different perspectives (the traveller vs. the one at home), the importance of empathy, and why open communication (even when it leads to a fight) is non-negotiable. They also touch on dealing with jealousy and why finding your own rhythm, not following someone else's rules, is the key to making it all work.

If you enjoy it, they'd love to hear from you!
