I was recently asked to list my five favorite active heavy underground bands. After a long internal debate, the band on the latest episode of Rich & Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S2E85), София, Bulgaria’s Obsidian Sea, was featured prominently on that list. If you don’t know these guys you should, as their last record, 2022’s Pathos, brought to us from Ripple Music, was pretty much perfect. So, I thought what better to have one of my favorite bands on the show to spread the word on how great they are and what they are currently up to.
