S1E10 Are Helicopter Parents In The Way Of An Athletes' Progress?
Are parents the biggest hinderance in an athletes' training progress? By letting ego driven decisions rule, or by stepping on the toes of coaches/trainers. Or, should advocating for your child have no boundaries? Often times the rigor of training is laden with discomfort, how do you best support your athlete to dig deeper in order to bask in new levels of achievement? Especially in times when coach/trainer seems calloused or when it seems that special attention is given elsewhere. Should parents believe in the process or perhaps revisit some of the original goals and expectations. All in all skill might be the only thing to get us through. What's your take?
