The United States has agreed to resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine after Kyiv said it was ready to support Washington's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. Donald Trump's increased tariffs on steel and aluminum imports have taken effect, with Europe vowing to hit back with counter measures. A legal battle over a detained Columbia University student will play out in federal court, with the U.S. government indicating it would oppose the Palestinian activist's bid for release.
