Elliot Cooper is a bland, unassuming man in his 20's. He's about as interesting as a box of wet socks, and has absolutely no reason to be the protagonist of this season. And yet he is. Elliot Cooper wakes up on the first Monday of the month and goes about his day like he normally would. It isn't until lunchtime that he realizes something about this day is different than the Monday prior. Join Elliot Cooper as he breaks from the horrors of a normal life.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting realm of vintage radio with Noah Martin at the helm as he breathes life into The Madison Maimer Catalogue, an original production by Retrospection Radio Theatre.
Months ago, a serial killer sprang in Madison, Maine. He killed multiple people and left the town scared and confused. The serial killer was known as the Madison Maimer due to their disgusting ways of killing victims. A few months pass from the first victim, and Royal McNeal grows frustrated that the police haven’t even attempted to solve the murders. Taking it upon himself, Royal becomes a true crime podcaster and proceeds to hunt down the Madison Maimer. His investigation has led him to a hut in the middle of the woods in which he finds the recorded last moments of Bella Fields.
True crime is a nonfiction literary, podcast, and film genre in which the author examines a crime and details the actions of people associated with and affected by criminal events. It is a cultural phenomenon that can refer to the promotion of sensationalized and emotionally charged content around the subject of violent crime, for the general public

Podcasts with a true crime theme are a recent trend. The 2014 true crime podcast Serial broke podcasting records when it achieved 5 million downloads on iTunes quicker than any previous podcast.[28][29][30] As of September 2018, it has been downloaded more than 340 million times.[31] It has been followed by other true crime podcasts such as Dirty John, My Favorite Murder, Up and Vanished, Parcast series such as Cults, Female Criminals and Mind's Eye, Someone Knows Something, and many more.[32]
Podcasts have now expanded to more sites such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and several others. They exist to provide others an easy way to learn about true crime murders and mysteries. Spotify has an expanding number of true crime podcasts with Rotten Mango, Conviction American Panic, Bed of Lies, Catch & Kill among many more. This genre has been on the rise as psychologist, Amanda Vicary, said her report found “women were most drawn to true crime stories that gave them tips for spotting danger and staying alive”.[33] The True Crime category in Apple Podcasts appeared for the first time mid-2019, and until then the podcasts that would be moved into the section had existed across many other categories, such as History, News & Politics, and even Comedy.[34]
It has been speculated that fear could play a role in the popularity of true crime podcasts. These podcasts often recount horrific crimes, which triggers the fear response and the release of adrenaline in the body. Due to the possibility of binge-watching podcasts, adrenaline rushes can be experienced in quick bursts.[35] Another explanation for the popularity of true crime podcasts is due to the serialized nature of crime, in which events happen one after another. Podcasts that explore a crime episodically can utilize this aspect in their storytelling.[35] Another strength of these podcasts is use of typical sensationalist techniques, such as inclusion of direct dialogue and focus on victims and their families. Podcasts can use music or other sound cues to maximize the intended impact or shock value of a fact, as seen in Serial.[36]

Immerse yourself in the enchanting realm of vintage radio with Noah Martin at the helm as he breathes life into The Phantom Airwaves, an original production by Retrospection Radio Theatre.
See the description below to help us perform in front of a live audience.Inspired by classic works from Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock, and H.P. Lovecraft, The Phantom Airwaves was performed by the cast of Retrospection Radio Theatre. The Radio Theatre was fondly inspired by the likes of: Suspense!, Mystery in the Air, and Mercury Theatre on the Air.
The Phantom Airwaves follows two teenage girls, Ally and Libby Weaver, as their household radio shows signs of possession.
The Phantom Airwaves was written with the intention of highlighting and discussing insecurities within characters. Each character has a strong insecurity that is exploited throughout the show. The story highlights how eradicating our own insecurities can often change who we are, sometimes for the worse.
The Phantom Airwaves was written over the course of 2022 and 2023. It has featured multiple iterations of the script, some iterations including only Radio, Libby, and Ally. Other iterations had Libby as the older sister with Ally as the younger sister. The script has also changed length, from a 10 page story to a 60 page story. Despite the changes to the script, the core story is fundamentally the same: a radio is possessed, and two sisters attempt to solve the problem.
The story faced some challenges during the rehearsal process. Something quite beautiful about getting to do my own work is that anything can be rewritten. After every rehearsal, I asked my cast to give insights on the script. They helped me to change some wooden dialogue, and even write the commercial you hear now. Aside from script issues, sickness also ran through the cast which caused actors to miss some rehearsals.
A moment of this audio drama is inspired by John De Bello's hit 1978 parody film, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes which starred David Miller, George Wilson, and Sharon Taylor. The title of the fictional film, It's Time to Die, is derived from Cary Joji Fukunaga's No Time to Die, a James Bond film from 2021 starring Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, and Rami Malek.
The Phantom Airwaves stars:
Noah Martin as Narrator, Enoch John
Kat Reineke as Ally Weaver
Megan Elkins as Libby Weaver
Elijah Zink as Caleb Keyes
Ash Staten as the Radio (Homichlo'c'aft Itri)
Mason Holland as Simon Sinclair, Additional Voices
Judy Clapper as Additional Voices
