Ep 74 - Elspeth Wilson - Talking about collective resilience, body doubling, journalling, writing a book as a way to escape
‘I am cringe, but I am free’ - words to live by! In this episode we talk about collective resilience, body doubling, journalling, and writing a book as a way to escape. I am joined by Elspeth Wilson. Elspeth is a Scottish writer, poet, and creative facilitator whose work explores the body, nature, neurodivergence, and what it means to feel at home - in ourselves and in the world. Her debut poetry pamphlet, Too Hot to Sleep, is published by Written Off Publishing and was shortlisted for the Saltire Society’s 2023 Poetry Book of the Year. Her debut novel, These Mortal Bodies, is out now. It is described as "the perfect combination of sinister, nostalgic and glamorous". When she’s not writing, she can usually be found in or near the sea, or on the lookout for new kinds of vegan chocolate. --- You can find out more about Elspeth and her work Substack: Neurodivergent Notes on WritingWebsite: https://www.elspethwilson.co.uk Instagram: @elspethwrites Twitter: @Elspethwriter Buy her Book: These Mortal Bodies --- If you'd like to support the work that goes into making this podcast and get a weekly newsletter plus loads more content including behind the scenes of the podcast, please consider subscribing to the Substack page - Find out more at https://jenscotney1.substack.com Resilience Rising Podcast is hosted by Jen Scotney @jenscotney Find us at: Instagram: @resiliencerisingpodcast Website: www.jenscotney.com Twitter: @ResilienceRPod Facebook: Resilience Rising Podcast Email: theresiliencerisingpodcast@gmail.com ---
