A lot of police. People were detained, questioned, and their phone photos deleted. What followed was one of the strangest and fastest explosions of internet virality ever seen. Claims of police falsehoods, a cover-up, and shadowy interdimensional beings hit media in parallel with the official story of teens fighting with fireworks. But just because a claim spreads fast and far, doesn’t necessarily make it true.
